EMRGent or Endocrine Modulators Research Gent is a multidisciplinary research group founded originally by three laboratories from different faculties of the Ghent University, Belgium:

Laboratory of Andrology
Laboratory for Environmental Toxicology and Aquatic Ecology
Laboratory of Microbial Ecology and Technology

Furthermore we co-operate intensively with the Laboratory of Hormonology, the Laboratory of Toxicology and the Department of Molecular Biology at the University of Gent. In EMRGent we introduce a consortium of laboratories with a complementary expertise, dealing with the problem in the broadest way. We assess the various hormone disrupting effects of human lifestyle on the environment, look into the causes, search for mechanistic explanations, develop research tools and try to find ways to remediate.
